Vector- anything with a magnitude and direction. (much and which way)
eg. west wind of 40 km/h
Scalar- anything with just a number
eg. shoe size because it doesn't not have a direction to go.
Questions 4. The equal sides are UP and TR and PR and UT. You always have to have a line WITH an arrow over top of the letters to represent a vector. Without the arrow it is just a line segment.
This was our notes for today. Mr.Max showed us how to use our protractors today to portray a vector.
This picture represents the 3 ways of writing direction.
The first way, 41 degrees N of E means the you go 41 degrees north from east.
The second way, N 49 degrees E means you start at the north and go 49 degrees to the east.
The third way, the Bearing Method means you start at the North, 0 degrees, and move clockwise until you get to you point.
For our homework, you must finish Exercise 2 and complete the following chart.

Sproctor....fantastic stuff here. I really like your honesty about what you're struggling with. Nice way that you've interspersed the slides from class with what you're trying to explain. I like what you're doing....
